Betsey is hosting a jewelry Trunk Show on Wednesday, May 4^th from 5-7pm at 102 W. Washington Street. Join us as we welcome Amsterdam jewelry designer Froukje van der Avoird.

Frouks jewelry represents purity and passion for the goldsmiths' craft. The pieces are exuberant, colourful and with an abundance of round forms . Mainly single pieces but also made to order. Handcrafted exactly the way you want it! Take a preview at www.frouks.nl

Frouks is Froukje van de Avoird (1975).
She was born and raised in Amstelveen and started learning the fine art of goldsmithing in 1994 at the school for goldsmithing and jewelry design in Amsterdam. After graduating she fine-tuned the craft at "BLGK Edelsmeden". She has always had her own studio in Amsterdam on different locations. At present Froukje has a magnificent studio with a view on the inspiring Eastern Docklands and the river IJ. This is where she designs and creates her own work and gives workshops.

The Fashion for Paws fundrasier was a wild success with our friends and customers packing the shop to enjoy an evening of shopping for a great cause. Thanks to everyone for helping to raise funds for the Washington Humane Society Fashion for Paws event. A Special thanks to our neighbors Country Way and Salamander Touch for participating as well!

The Fashion For Paws (F4P) event is being held this year on April 9^th at the National Building Museum, and since the annual fundraiser began, in 2007, F4P has raised well-over ONE MILLION DOLLARS for the Washington Humane Society.

Please join us on Saturday, March 19^th from 5-7pm for a fundraiser to support the Washington Humane Society, “Fashion for Paws”. This pre-event will support models, Jennifer & Roscoe, as they raise funds to walk the runway for the “Fashion for Paws” event in DC in April. We will host in–shop specials, a % of sales to the cause, & refreshments. What a great excuse to shop for spring while supporting a great fundraiser! Bring your girlfriends (& guy friends too!) to Betsey on March 19^th! Make a night of it by dining after the event at one of Middleburg’s great restaurants.
